Australian Kiteboarding branches into Stand Up Paddle Fitness training and SUP sales

I said I'd never do it, but I have changed our tack and am now adding a high quality Stand Up Paddle (SUP) product lineup to our shop and beach.

At a recent dealer meeting, I decided to be open minded about SUP and give all the boards a go.  The first board I rode was a 9'6" Fanatic All Wave.  This is an easy board to ride as it was my first time in the surf on a SUP, I paddled it without falling off and then turned and started catching waves.  It rode really well and I started having a great time.  The thing is, it was so easy!  Then I saw a friend who weighed in at about 100kg with no real fitness or athleticism and with no surfing skills and never having Sup'd before paddle out, turn, catch a wave and ride it in.  He was stoked!  And it hit me.  This really is a sport EVERYONE can be good at in no time.

Not happy with just the surf side, I grabbed a standard board and paddled it around.  Yep, same old boring paddling I knew of.  Then we added a fitness regime to paddling and created an agenda for paddling.  That was the final straw.  I'm all about fitness and having fun and could see a dynamic way to incorporate fitness training into a fun paddling session on the water, and our new service is born.

In October, we will begin SUP fitness sessions.  A fun workout for around the cost of a PT session, but on the water.

Stay tuned ..... I have a heap of great ideas and will share them as I solidify the plan.  We're gonna have a great fun year ahead, and we'll get fit whilst doing it.  :-)
