With perfect 2-3ft waves on offer, the 39 year old has been one of the most consistent surfers in the last 5 years making the final in every year since his first win in 2012.
Russ has won consecutive titles at the Indigenous Surfing Titles at Bells beach and has also done very well mainstream surfing contests. Summer Simon, an up and coming surfer girl recently won both Wandjali and the Indigenous Surfing Titles at Bells earlier this year, definitely one to look out for.”
