Kitesurfing Daymer Bay. Area: Kitesurfing in Cornwall. Daymer Bay sits on the east side of the opening of the Camel Estuary which runs into the popular town of Padstow. It provides a lovely little beach dead opposite Hawkers Cove, a popular flat water spot on the west side of the estuary.

Jul 04, 2011 · Kitesurfing is banned South of the Padstow war memorial. Basically, stay north of where the passenger ferry crosses the estuary at low tide and it is ok from there right up to Daymer/Hawker. The other restriction is the well known July/August ban anywhere in the estuary.

Daymer Bay itself offers perfect entry-level wavesailing as soft, well-spaced waves wrap around the point, generally a metre smaller than elsewhere in Cornwall and best in a south-westerly wind.
