Sep 21, 2008 · Skye is a bit sheltered, if you look at a map. It must get swell sometimes, but every time I've been its been flat as a millpond.. like he said, get on a ferry and head to the outer Hebrides. It's not a long journey, and there's loads of wildlife to watch while you're on the boat.
